Finavia and Karttakeskus join forces in aeronautical chart production

Finavia and Karttakeskus will be launching closer co-operation in the production of aeronautical charts.  The parties have agreed that sales and distribution of aeronautical charts ANC 1:500 000 and VFR Traffic Chart Helsinki 1:100 000 will be taken over by Karttakeskus in October 2010. The aeronautical charts will also be updated in the course of the autumn owing to changes effective as of 18 November 2010.

The sales points of the charts will remain unchanged until further notice. Possible changes in the sales of aeronautical charts will be announced during the autumn.

Finland has been divided into eight ANC 1:500 000 sheets.  The charts are intended to serve the needs of visual navigation and to be used as an aid in pilot and navigation training. The VFR Traffic Chart Helsinki is intended primarily to serve the needs of visual navigation in local training and practice flights.
